These are not ordinary plectrums. Each one is a unique, hand-crafted piece of functional art, built with a substantial core of Torlon® 4203, one of the most advanced thermoplastics in existence.
Torlon® is my signature material. Back in 2011, I was the first to introduce it to the guitar world for use in plectrums. Its incredible strength, durability, and dimensional stability have since made it a benchmark for high-performance picks.
For this series, the Torlon® core is sandwiched between layers of cross-linked cell-cast acrylic — the most premium and expensive form of acrylic available. Produced in small plates between glass sheets, cell-cast acrylic is renowned for its superior clarity, high molecular weight, strength, and ability to be polished to a glass-like finish. The result is not only durability but also an unmatched artistic canvas.
Seamlessly jointing these materials together is far from easy. It requires a great deal of experience and absolute precision, with close attention to every detail of the construction. This complexity is part of what makes each plectrum so special.
Some designs feature unique inclusions, such as genuine gold leaf flakes, making each plectrum absolutely one-of-a-kind.
At 20 mm thick, these plectrums were originally conceived to help musicians dealing with arthritis, carpal tunnel, or muscular pain, offering a comfortable grip that reduces fatigue. But many players without such issues now use them, discovering unexpected benefits:
